Statement of Faith

King's Church is part of the Assemblies of God church movement and subscribes to their Statement of Faith.


1. We believe that the Bible (i.e. the Old and New Testaments) is the inspired, infallible and all-sufficient Word of God.

2. We believe in the One true and living God, who has revealed Himself in three Persons - Father, Son and Holy Spirit, often called the Trinity.
(Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19; Luke 3:22; John 10:30; Ephesians 4:4-6)

3. We believe in the Lordship of Jesus Christ, the Son of God and God the Son; His virgin birth, sinless life, miraculous ministry, substitutionary atoning death, bodily resurrection, triumphant ascension, abiding intercession, and in His glorious Second Coming.

4. We believe in the fall of man, who was created pure and upright, but fell by voluntary transgression.

5. We believe in salvation from sin and death by new birth by grace through faith in Christ's work of redemption upon the cross with the fruit of a transformed life.
(Luke 24:47; John 3:3; Romans 10:13-15; Ephesians 2:8; Titus 2:11; Titus 3:5-7)

6. We believe that all who have repented and believed in Christ as Lord and Saviour are all members of His Body and should be baptised by full immersion in water, in the Name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit and that they should regularly participate in the Breaking of Bread.

7. We believe in the baptism in the Holy Spirit giving power for mission, the initial evidence of which is the miraculous speaking with other languages as the Spirit gives utterance.

8. We believe in the operation of the gifts of the Holy Spirit, and the ministry gifts of Christ in the Church today.
(Romans 12: 4-8, 1 Corinthians 12:1-31)

9. We believe that deliverance from sickness, by Divine Healing is provided for in the Atonement.
(Isaiah 53:4,5; Matthew 8:16,17; James 5:14-16)

10. We believe in the sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit to produce holiness of life in accordance to God's requirement.
(2Thessalonians 2: 13, 1 Peter 1:2, 1Thessalonians 5: 23, 1 Peter 1:15,16)

11. We believe in the return of Jesus Christ to resurrect the dead and rapture the living which is the blessed hope of every believer, and His reign on earth for one thousand years. 
(Matthew 24:27, 30-31; 1 Thessalonians 4:16,17; Titus 2:13; 1 Corinthians 15:51,52; Revelation 1:7; Revelation 20:1-6)

12. We believe in the bodily resurrection of all men, the everlasting conscious bliss of the righteous in a new heavens and earth and the everlasting conscious punishment of all whose names are not written in the Book of Life in Hell.
